Have you seen our magazine yet? Creative Boom is designed purely to support the UK's creative industries. We'll happily shout about your business and what you're up to... just get in touch and tell us your story at news@creativeboom.co.uk.
You can…
My name is Katy Cowan and I'm the owner of a creative PR agency called Boomerang PR based in Stoke-on-Trent. I've also just launched an online magazine and network site called Creative Boom to support the UK's creative industries.
The site was first dreamt up on Twitter after I realised that creatives were crying out for a place where they could meet and greet, share ideas and find out about everything that’s happening in their profession.
Launched in July 2009, Creative Boom aims to support freelancers and businesses of all sizes, helping them to gain new contacts, secure more work and have a wide range of useful information at their fingertips.
So whether you’re into film, photography, music, public relations, design, web and software development, arts and crafts, or marketing – we will bring you all the latest news, events and information relevant to your creative sector, effectively helping you to make a Creative Boom.
I'm the owner and director of Boomerang PR, a creative PR agency based in Stoke-on-Trent. I also edit and produce online magazine Creative Boom which supports the UK's creative industries.
Your new magazine sounds very exciting and you seem to be full of enthusiasm for it - which is contagious!
I would love to help out in some way - I'm a stylist/Wardrobe Fabuliste type thing, but I come at it from a very creative point of view. So, if can help with writing articles, or feature in the mag in some way - that would be great. Or if you have any thoughts as to how I can contribute to your work, I'd love to hear them.
I'm following you on Twitter now - so I regularly look at the links you post. Feel free to contact me on here, or using my email style@vivacite.co.uk
Welcome aboard! As you might have guessed, you're the furthest north of the DiD Ning clan.
Among other things I look after the DiD database which includes about 300 designers, etc, over and above 200+ who’ve signed up to this Ning site.
We use it for publicising events and for passing on other information by e-mail. (Not everything gets put up on Ning.) We DO NOT publicise or sell the database.
If we use katy@creativeboom.co.uk will e-mails reach you?
If you can let me know one way or the other (and send your other contact info if you don’t mind it being recorded) I’ll add you to the database.
We try to send out a fairly regular e-alert of items in which designers in Devon will be interested. Do you have a copyright problem if I grab the occasional 'local-interest' item from Creative Boom?
